TOMORROW FOCUS AG closed a strategic partnership with The Huffington Post: Launch of the German Huffington Post in Fall 2013

The Huffington Post, one of the most prominent news and opinion websites, will launch in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in partnership with TOMORROW FOCUS AG, one of the leading publicly traded Internet companies in Germany. The German edition of The Huffington Post will be a subsidiary company of TOMORROW FOCUS Media GmbH. The Huffington Post will bring its signature mix of news, blogging, community, and social engagement to the German edition, which will be both a news outlet and a platform that captures the unique perspectives, voices and spirit of the German people. TOMORROW FOCUS Media will contribute the editorial power of FOCUS Online, Germany's fastest growing news portal in combination with one of the biggest local ad networks.

An editorial team of experienced journalists will be formed in Munich in the next months, with the launch expected in fall this year. Further details will be announced at a press conference in Munich during the digital conference DLDwomen 2013 of Hubert Burda Media on 15 July 2013. Arianna Huffington is Co-Chairwoman of DLDwomen 2013.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with TOMORROW FOCUS to launch the German edition of the Huffington Post," said chair, president, and editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington. TOMORROW FOCUS is deeply involved in virtually every sector of digital content in Germany, and there is no one we'd rather be partnering with for this expansion. With their online publishing expertise and deep knowledge of German culture, TOMORROW FOCUS and Burda are uniquely positioned to help us tell the stories people care about most - and, just as important, help Germans tell their stories themselves."

"TOMORROW FOCUS is quite simply the best partner for us as we add Germany to our growing portfolio of international editions - a portfolio that now includes each of The Big 5 European media and advertising markets," said CEO Jimmy Maymann. "More than any other German publishing house, TOMORROW FOCUS has mastered its online transition and built a brand portfolio that is not only wide and deep, but reflects and complements The Huffington Post's goals and core values. We are very excited to join forces with the extraordinary TOMORROW FOCUS/Hubert Burda Media management team, including Dr Hubert Burda and Dr Paul-Bernhard Kallen, who have been champions of this partnership from the very start."

"We are very proud to be part of the worldwide success story of The Huffington Post, one of the most innovative and well-known news and opinion platforms,” says Christoph Schuh, Board Member of TOMORROW FOCUS AG. "With The Huffington Post we will create a new media brand in the German market that stands for high quality online journalism combined with the transparency and immediacy of social media, following the example of The Huffington Post in the USA, in France, Italy, Spain, Canada and UK."

"The German Huffington Post is not another news portal - it's a platform for engagement", says Oliver Eckert, Managing Director of TOMORROW FOCUS Media. "It provides our audience with a social experience, bringing fresh voices to the German media landscape. We need journalists that will fit this new media paradigm."
