Holger Eckstein, born in 1964 in Grevenbroich/Germany, has been Executive Director of Hubert Burda Media Holding Geschäftsführung SE and Managing Director of Burda GmbH since October 2009 and is responsible for the media group's finances. He joined the company in 1996 as Director Corporate Controlling and was responsible for the administrative and commercial areas of finance and accounting, taxes, human resources and controlling as Managing Director of Burda Services GmbH from 2002 to 2009. Holger Eckstein began his professional career in 1990 at Hoechst AG in Corporate Controlling and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Holger Eckstein studied economics at the University of Duisburg/Germany. Afterwards he graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University in Pennsylvania, USA. Holger Eckstein also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.
