Dr. Dirk Schmelzer becomes new CFO of TOMORROW FOCUS AG

Munich, Germany, 18 November 2010 - The Supervisory Board of TOMORROW FOCUS AG, one of Germany’s leading exchange-listed internet companies, has appointed Dr Dirk Schmelzer (43) as its Chief Financial Officer. Dirk will take up his new role by 1 April 2011 at the latest, and will have overall responsibility for Finance, Controlling, Investor Relations and Human Resources.

Dirk is currently Chief Financial Officer at HanseNet GmbH (Alice DSL) in Hamburg, Germany, where he is responsible for Accounting, Purchasing and Controlling. For the three years before his appointment as CFO at HanseNet, he was Managing Director and CFO of Telefónica Deutschland GmbH. As a Member of the Management he integrated Telefónica Deutschland GmbH into O2 after a successful turnaround.

Dirk began his career in 1997 as controller at Telefónica O2 (Germany) and its predecessor companies, where he held various management positions until his appointment as CFO. Dirk studied economics in Cologne, Germany and Copenhagen, Denmark, and obtained a doctorate from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
